We've just had an appeal find in our favour against the London Borough of Hillingdon, and we used Martin at Just Planning for the appeal process. Our property sits on a corner and the borough ruled that we had two principal elevations, which is against what is stated in the Technical Guidance. Whilst the process has been incredibly lengthy, this is in no way down to Just Planning - their involvement was the easiest part of the whole process. The reports were drawn up quickly and efficiently, we were able to review them prior to submission, and communication throughout has been excellent. I reviewed lots of 'planning appeal specialists' before choosing Martin and his team - the work was well worth it and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. *****

Diligently working with my architect who was well versed with the rules of Wokingham BC, we submitted a suitable planning application, however this was rejected by overly conservative planning department not assessing each situation on its own merit and sticking religiously with their planning guidelines using a tick box approach. Having not been through an appeal process and not really knowing how 'independent' the planning inspectorate are, I was confident I had found the right man in Martin who honestly explained how this could work and that the chance of success was relatively high. This was quite different advice I had from another planning consultant. After much consideration, I decided to give Martin's skills a chance and left the appeal in his hands. A few months and a visit by an inspector later, I won my appeal. I would highly recommend Martin, and would use his service again should I ever find myself in this unfortunate situation again.
